Who we are
In the midst of Taipei’s bustling business district stands a sacred space—a parish that serves as a refuge of peace and prayer for all who seek the presence of God. Surrounded by the rhythm of city life, this church offers more than a quiet corner; it offers a spiritual home where hearts may be lifted and souls refreshed.
This parish is entrusted to the Salesians of Don Bosco, members of the Society of St. Francis de Sales. Guided by the charism of their founder, St. John Bosco—the father and teacher of youth—the parish carries a distinct mission: to serve the young, to nurture their faith, and to accompany them in their journey through life. Don Bosco’s words still resonate deeply within the community:
“It is enough that you are young for me to love you.”
Yet the parish’s mission extends beyond youth ministry. Located in Taiwan, recognized as a missionary land, the parish embraces the call to evangelize. It is a community committed to spreading the Gospel, fostering missionary spirit, and offering pastoral care to all who are in need of guidance and support.
The strength of this parish lies not only in its clergy but also in its lay faithful. In the spirit of the modern Church, the laity are empowered to share in the responsibilities of parish life. Through the Parish Pastoral Council, working hand in hand with the Parish Priest, they contribute their gifts and leadership to ensure that the parish thrives as a living, vibrant community of faith.
In this way, the vision of St. John Bosco takes form within the parish walls. He once dreamed of a community that would embody four essential dimensions: a home that welcomes, a parish that evangelizes, a school that prepares for life, and a playground where friendships flourish. These guiding images continue to shape the identity and mission of the parish today.
Our Mission:
At its core, the parish community carries forward Don Bosco’s legacy of friendship and service. It seeks to be a friend to the young, to the poor, to the abandoned, and to the vulnerable—and through this friendship, to be ever closer to Christ Himself. This is who we are, and this is the mission entrusted to us.
We warmly invite you to journey with us, to pray with us, and to grow with us in faith. Here, you will find not only a parish but also a family—a community where Christ is at the center, and where all are welcomed as brothers and sisters in the Lord.
