Who we are:

We are a Catholic Church situated in the archdiocese of Taipei. Our presence in the middle of the business district invites us to be of service to the whole community who are in need of religious and pastoral services. Our strategic presence also gives the people in this district a place of solace during the day when they just want to be quiet with the Lord.

We are a Salesian parish. The parish church is under the care of religious men from the Society of St. Francis de Sales or simply called, Salesians of Don Bosco. Our patron saint is St. John Bosco, the father and teacher of youth. We are here to serve the young.

We are a missionary and evangelizing community. The parish, its diocese is situated inTaiwan, which is considered a missionary territory. And for this reason, the parish community has its main purpose of evangelization and missionary activities.

We are a parish community that empowers the laity. We are now in the era of the Modern Church whose one of its main important thrust is the empowerment of the laity. Thus, the ordinary running of the parish church and its activities are done by the Parish Pastoral Council working closely under the Parish Priest.

In summary, our parish community wants to build a community patterned after the mind of St. John Bosco, when he says: "It should be a place for everyone that is a HOME that welcomes, a PARISH that evangelized, a SCHOOL that prepared us for life, and a PLAYGROUND where friends could meet and enjoy themselves. That is what we want to be!"

Our Mission:

When St. John Bosco founded the Salesians in 1859, his mission was clear and simple: to be a friend - a friend to kids who were poor, kids abandoned, kids at risk - and, in so doing, to be a friend to Christ.

Don Bosco (Italian for Father Bosco) left a legacy of love that is as strong today as it was over 100 years ago when he said, "It is enough that you are young for me to love you!"
