St. John Bosco Parish

Taipei, Taiwan

Last August 16, 2014, we joyfully began the year-long celebration of the bicentennial of Saint John Bosco’s birth — a moment of grace and thanksgiving for the life of a man who dedicated himself entirely to God and to the salvation of souls.

Beyond being the founder of the Salesian Congregation and the beloved patron saint of our parish, Saint John Bosco is a shining example of holiness in action. His life continues to inspire countless people to live with faith, joy, and service to others, especially the young and the poor.

Who, then, is Saint John Bosco to us?

As we continue to honor the legacy of Saint John Bosco, let us strive to follow his example of faith and compassion. May his life remind us that holiness is attainable through our daily work, kindness, and devotion to God.

“Know Him, Imitate Him, Revere Him.” This was our heartfelt slogan when Don Bosco’s relic visited us in 2011. Let us continue to live by this pledge — to know him more deeply, to imitate his virtues, and to revere him with sincere love and gratitude. May his intercession inspire us to live as faithful sons and daughters of God, and may his spirit of joy and service always remain alive in our parish community.
